This is the story of Sekhemkhet, the son of the desert, and the mystery surrounding it since the day he was born, a riddle that will guide you through the period in which he will live: the Egypt of the Pharaohs warriors. A glorious period in the country of the Black Land will expand its borders as never before in its long history, driven by the ambitions of kings and the interests of its priests, and that will lead to the golden age of Egyptian civilization.
In a novel that will subjugate the reader from the first line, Antonio Cabanas us into a journey back in time to provide all the splendor of ancient Egypt. The great pharaohs of the XVIII dynasty come to life, and Tuthmosis III and Amenhotep II show us all its magnificence and also its darker side. Historical and fictional characters go hand in hand to present an Egypt that will surprise the reader with their realism. With historical accuracy that characterizes his works, the author accurately plasma aspects of daily life, the struggle for survival, the terrible wars that will take us from the remote Kush to the Euphrates; cross the city of Thebes, the great temple Karnak, the Nile and desolate deserts.
Through these scenarios, Sekhemkhet tells his own story, the mystery of a man without a past whose tormented soul will rebel against the interests of the powerful. An epic tale in which friendship and betrayal, love and passion, compassion and anger will push Sekhemkhet to forge their own legend.

Hello I look forward to the new book The son of the desert.
Recently finished reading The plot of Pharaoh. Fascinating, like the grave robbers and the Dream Millennium.
Thanks for letting us enjoy both
Greetings
Congratulations, Antonio.
I see that the volcanic ash of envy turbines do not affect your creativity and continuing your free flight. Leo on this page synthesis of your new work and I have wanted to begin to devour the book.
Thank you for your educational and literary work. Since I read your first novel, which brought the novelty of having scholarly notes illustrative footnotes, an author I knew you were different and that your personality would win because you teach by a parable the story, which is like writing two novels at the same time .
Wish you luck is a lack of faith in your category. The safe will be amplified as unworthy of your dedication to the craft of writing seductive.
A hug from your canariona Playa de Las Canteras.

Magnificent book. As I said in my review, electrifying and absorbing. Well documented, wonderful atmosphere, with fascinating characters and a plot of the most suggestive.
For me it is his best novel.
I hope many others follow the same level.
A hug Antonio.
Hello,
I liked to read short, it is but I started to read a year ago, and I have already 16. But since "discovered''the laectura, I can not leave, and I find it hard to find books d emi taste, because I like fantasy, magic .... mixed with reality, and of course, today I saw this book in a store with a wonderful pint, so I Infirma and ask yourself to whom I could respond, if this book "the son of the desert''is science fiction, fantasy "Actually, more or less, if it will be my pleasure, culture and religion of the ancient Egyptians as a child I love, so I wonder if from the point of view of people who have read it, I can tell if I recommend it, many thanks in advance, greetings.
Hello Josean:
If you are looking for a book of magic, fantasy and science fiction, the son of the desert does not meet your expectations. Take a look around the net to read some reviews and you get better idea.
The novel is set in ancient Egypt and speaks of a soldier in an era of continuous warfare. Very well written, very entertaining and very well documented, but not including any of those genres that seem to like it. It is a historical novel without additives.
Hope that helps.
Congratulations Antonio, I am a regular reader of historical novels in general and the novel set in ancient Egypt in particular. I think you're certainly at the forefront of this genre in our country. I want to thank you for sending us a time as exciting in a way that envelops you from the front pages.
greetings
Hello good morning, as I mentioned in the Book Fair signing copies of his work in Visp Booth knew his work but had not read any copy, today I have to say that, although I have not finished reading The Dream Millennium, I I feel trapped and I can hardly put the book also well documented meeting will be a graduate in Ancient History and History of Art, I hope that the Son of the Desert is just as exciting.
I hope to continue to publish new novels take us to that time was wonderful and mysterious Egypt. That her novels continue to provide us good times.
Sincerely, greetings
Isabel
When I gave "The plot of Pharaoh," I never imagined that he would return to awaken in me the longing to know more and more about Egypt than I have had since childhood, but went no further than the great pyramids.
Now about to finish the "Son of the Desert", I just wish that this kind of novels do not stop writing because the story, told in this way, is a companion in life and can not fail.
Shai so provides
Antonio, be sure to carry us into the bowels of Egypt, in addition to planes that are not needed
I spent three great days.
The story enmpieza in a somewhat thick for the uninitiated in the history of Egypt, but after the first forty leaves you can not stop reading it.
Honestly, in a long time a novel has not left me the taste has left me this.
I had the fortune to read The grave robbers, the age-old dream and the plot of Pharaoh, and I can only say that my fascination with ancient Egypt can only increase further if possible.
My preferred the grave robbers.
This afternoon will buy the son of the desert that will also accompany me to my trip to Egypt next week.
What better company for my trip that the last novel by Antonio Cabanas.
A big hug from Jaen.
